Day Seven: A Family Member, or Family Members.I was gonna draw my parents, my sister, my bro-in-law, my partner, and myself, but I’m feeling a little under-ambitious and/or overwhelmed by real-life stuff, so I just drew my mom and pop. Here are a few facts about my parents: My dad is 5’4” and my mom is 4’11”. They are both tiny people! My dad likes bird-watching, walking to the library, lovingly tending to his garden, making beautiful watercolour nature paintings, baking bread, and communism. My mom likes being an amazing elementary school teacher, millinery, knitting, making beautiful puppets of all kinds, feminism, and lifting weights. They are two of the best people I know. I love them so much!EDIT: In this portrait, they are both wearing perfectly round spectacles (they have these in real life!), and Blundstones, their favourite shoes. My mom has itty bitty feet, so hers are from the children’s section and pink. She is very proud of this because they cost less, and my mama loves a good deal.
