Day Five: Your Favourite Outfit.
As a kid, I friggin loved paper dolls (or as we called them in my family, “cut-outs”), so today’s drawing challenge picture is a bit of an homage to said love.
Components of outfit:
-Grey cardigan, thrifted, with orange patch sewn on. The orange patch has a teacup and was gifted to me by my friend Lisa.-Granny boots, from some chain store in Northern Ireland I can’t remember the name of. I’ve almost worn them completely out, but they are my dream boots so I gotta keep holding on! I got them on a trip to Belfast (my Dad’s hometown) last year.-grey knee-socks with red hearts, a present from my dear, dear friend Steph. We were taking a class together two years ago (the last class of my undergraduate degree!), and she brought me a whole bunch of knee socks, just because she loves me. ILU STEPH!
-ornate bird necklace, from Fresh Collective on Augusta Ave, Toronto (where I live). The artist’s company is called Sugar Rush, if I remember correctly, but I got it several years back, so I’m not sure!-flowery ’90s-esque dress from some eurotrashy store at the downtown mall in Saskatoon (my hometown)
This outfit, or some variation thereof, is pretty much my uniform for spring, summer, and fall. In winter, I replace the knee-socks with wool tights and handknit thigh-high legwarmers that I hold up with garters ;)EDIT: I promise to replace this with a high-quality scan.
